Happy People Sagrada Familia Apartments

I stayed at the Happy People Sagrada Familia Apartments recently and it was really like a home away from home.

Happy People Sagrada Familia Apartments offers air-conditioned apartments and studios with free Wi-Fi. Accommodation is 5 minutes’ walk from Camp de l’Arpa Metro Station.

Both studios and apartments feature a living-dining room with a sofa and a flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette including a microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The modern bathroom has a hairdryer, and towels and bed linen are provided.

Guests have access to a large chill-out terrace with city views.

Several bars, restaurants and supermarkets can be found within 5 minutes’ walk. The property offers airport shuttle service, available on request and for a surcharge.

Located in a residential area of the Eixample District, the property is 15 minutes’ walk from Sagrada Familia. You can reach Plaza Catalunya and Ramblas in 30 minutes by public transport. Sant Pau Hospital, a spectacular example of modernist architecture, can be reached in 5 minutes on foot.

Price wise the cost per night booked through Agoda was reasonable and less than others advertised in the area. The place was clean/tidy, and the set up was one queen bed in the main bedroom and 2 x single beds in the second bedroom.

Each room had a small balcony and vintage style wooden sun shutters.

A handy feature was small iron and ironing board located in the main bedroom.

The main room included a full kitchen with cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Enough utensils are provided enabling you to make a small feast.

A coffee machine is provided, but it requires coffee tables from the local supermarket. Also in the main area is a large dining table and a lounge area for watching TV. Mostly they are Spanish TV channels, but we were able to find at least one in English.

The bathroom was clean and tidy like the rest of the apartment and had a decent shower with nice water pressure.

The building has a vintage vibe to it and matches the Barcelona style. Located on the rooftop of the building are sun loungers for working on your holiday tan and also a washing machine.

Again a handy feature often not included in many places. Wifi reception in the building is also very good.

They even aranged for a driver to pick us up and trips to the theme park and church (which is about 15min walk away).

Overall the Happy People Sagrada Familia is worthy of 5 stars and recommended. The location is central and near to a MRT station, supermarkets, shops, and cafes. It’s possible to reach all the major attractions via the MRT located close by and we even walked to the beach one day for some exercise.

Things To Do In Barcelona

Stuck for things to do? Some attractions I visited in Barcelona are:

Port Aventura Theme Park – Grip your seat on white-knuckle rollercoaster rides, and try out the world’s fastest accelerator ride.

Sagrada Família – The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia is a monumental church devoted to the Holy Family

Gothic Quarter – Many of the buildings in this neighborhood date back to Roman and medieval times.

Parc del Laberint d’Horta – Great place to spend a couple of hours strolling around

Port of Barcelona – Shops, restaurants and the beach of Barceloneta
