Fancy a run while staying in Bangkok?

Lumpini Park is a 142-acre park in Bangkok, Thailand. The park offers rare breathing space from the busy city, features trees, playgrounds, and a lake where visitors can rent boats.

There is a set paths around the park that is 2.5 km in length for running. The path has markings every 200 meters and an indicator of the distance run. Cyclists also have a separate track next to the runners.

While running around the park I noticed there were a selection of free to use resistance machines. Park workers were also installing more of the machines, which are often seen around city parks in Asia. Perfect if you fancy a quick resistance workout after your run.

If the resistance machines are too easy for you, why not try the Outdoor Gym, which has free weights and is located at the park. I didn’t personally use it, but there are plenty of reviews on Tripadvisor.

There are plenty police at the entrance and some wandering park for those wandering about safety. Overall lumpini park is clean safe place to take a break from the busy city, having a walk, biking, and visiting with friends.
