Running by the South French Sea in Nice

Fancy running in Nice France, or specifically the south of France? With views like this who wouldn’t!

If you’re staying close to or at the centre of Nice France, then it would be hard not to come across the Promenade des Anglais.

Stretching for around 5KM from Nice Airport to Castle Hill, and hugging along the stunning beach, the Promenade des Anglais is a popular area for locals, tourists, runners, and skaters.

Even if running doesn’t float your boat, you can try taking a slow relaxing walk starting at the sea and going all the way to the old city and harbour.

Running In Nice South France

Lined with rows of late-19th-century and early-20th-century buildings, here you’ll find plenty of small restaurants and tight winding streets. Not something anyone would want to forget during a visit to this sunny Mediterranean Sea location.

During the afternoons and weekends, the promenade can get very busy.

I spent a few weeks staying here and running along this route and some days people were everywhere. It just testament that I’m not the only one who wants to take in the sea air, stunning beach views and old buildings.

Early morning is the undoubtedly the best time to enjoy running in Nice and by the South French Sea.

There’s a little cafe just off one of the side streets that serve’s the best baguettes with fresh bread. Perfect for a nice feed after a walk along the beach
